Morbid obesity receives its name of excessive overweight that conditions diseases. For this reason, obese people present an increase in the risk of premature death that could diminish or be avoided by weight reduction. Additionally, obesity generates situations that progressively alter the other spheres of the individual as the psychological and the social ones.
Psychologically speaking, changes of conduct can be seen, with a tendency to isolation and a feeling of rejection from the rest of people, in addition to sensations of shame and being different. That is why they tend to focus in food consumption as a satisfaction mechanism.

Socially, they sometimes face the lack of employment only by the fact of not being “physically convenient” for the company and they are gradually undergoing a type of discrimination that set them aside of a conventional life.
